A piece of information for all us to know that the Art of Sculpture making back dates to our pre-historic ancestors, followed by huge sculptures which we see dates 4500 years back to the Great Sphinx. Statues and sculptures are made of so many materials like Stone, Wood, Metal, Glass and in the modern era plastic and mixed materials too. In the past people made mainly religious statues, statues for the kings, statues for the dead and predominantly the purpose was to communicate some information. Mikaa5 has been in the business of Sculpture making for over 26 years now. Among all the sculptures made by Mikaa5 this realistic Crucifix sculpture is one of the best made for the Christian Community.

Christians all across the globe for over 2000 years now and right from the birth, death & resurrection of Jesus Christ adore, venerate, worship and believe that Crucifix is the symbol of Jesus’ sacrifice and Cross as an eternal symbol of Love. The crucifixion marks the unconditional love that Jesus the lord had for all beings on earth and he gave his life for the sins of the people and also to offer life after death. It is believed by all Christians that if they lead a good life following the example of Jesus their master they will also have life after death.

The making of Jesus Crucifix Sculpture
The artist behind this Jesus Crucifix statue accepted this work as a challenge, went through many references on the internet however wasn’t satisfied, finally he decided to understand Jesus Christ more by watching few movies and the movie that he watched to get this output is the Passion of Christ.
Mr. Alagar Raja was able to come up with a realistic Jesus Crucifix Statue that immediately caught the attention of the sisters in charge of the chapel in St. Thomas Hospital. We were personally told that we fulfilled their dreams and we have exceeded their expectation in bringing forth realism in this beautiful Jesus Christ Statue
Sister Rexaline told Mr. Alagar Raja that she dreamt of a Jesus Christ sculpture exactly like the way he has sculpted it. She was astonished with the detailing, the bloodshed on the cross and she said she could picturise the ultimate suffering that Lord Jesus might have gone through on the cross. Mr. Alagar Raja said that he has significantly placed the same number of cuts on the cross as on Jesus Christ’s body thus symbolically & artistically trying to convey a message that Jesus and his cross are one and inseparable symbol of love and sacrifice.
As artists Mikaa5 understands the importance of making religious sculptures, as it plays on the minds of the believers and their religious sentiments. We always give a 100% care in fact we give importance to meticulous details, the emotions of the sculpture and the emotional value it has with its believers. It’s not just about sculpting alone, but it is about giving importance to value, the vitality of the sculpture and its significance among the onlookers. Mikaa5 has tremendous experience and exposure of over 26 years in this industry and chose to work on statue making projects only if it has a scope for value.
